David Engel Brings Jack Frost: Snow Kidding! To Lindenwood

Kick off the holiday season by attending at the J. Scheidegger Center on 番茄社区’s campus at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 3.

In Jack Frost: Snow Kidding!, veteran New York-based variety performer and comedian David Engel brings to life the world-famous, winter sprite and drums up holiday cheer in this engaging variety show that features slapstick antics, cartoon-like sound effects, bubble play, musical bell chimes, adept magic, and puppetry.

With audience participation, occasional flurries, including a minor indoor snowstorm, Jack Frost: Snow Kidding! will bring smiles and laughter to audiences of all ages.

The third of seven shows in the 2023-24 Scheidegger touring series, Jack Frost: Snow Kidding! offers students, faculty, staff, and surrounding communities a chance to experience a production full of fun and holiday spirit.

“(We’re) so excited to have David Engel and his Jack Frost show here for the annual holiday kick-off!” Director of Theater Operations Kathleen Eads said. “Continuing our tradition of a family fun matinée before Lindenwood 's Winterfest for the community, it is a great combo to kick off the holiday season.

“David is a fantastic performer, and his antics are sure to delight all ages.”

Engel has delighted audiences since 1989 with his special blend of theatrical clown and slapstick antics. Engel has enjoyed a lengthy career performing Shakespeare, avant-garde, contemporary drama, spectacle theatre, and Restoration comedy – and he has more than 30 commercial, film, and television credits. Engel’s work is nonviolent, and he aims to incite curiosity, empathy, courage in social settings, and empower today’s youth.
