MFA CRAFT TALKS

The MFA in Writing program is happy to sponsor The Lindenwood Craft Talks.

These talks are offered twice yearly through videoconferencing and invite writers of distinction to discuss the craft of writing. We take a teacherly approach, and our visiting authors don’t just read from their work but focus on their creative process, including their path towards publication.

Recent visiting writers include Maggie Stiefvater, Ira Sukrungruang, Raquel Vazquez Gilliland, Eva Gibson and Lan Samantha Chang.

GRADUATE STUDENT READING SERIES

Every semester, the program hosts four virtual reading events featuring three current graduate students, who share their poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and screenwriting in fifteen-minute blocks followed by a brief Q&A. These events provide students with hands-on experience giving public readings of their work in the manner of working writers and industry professionals.
