Leadership EdD Degree with Education Administration Emphasis
Education administration (Missouri superintendent certification) focuses on leadership as a Missouri k-12 superintendent. Individuals who currently hold an Education Specialist (EdS) degree and completed Missouri superintendent certification coursework may be able to transfer up to 15 credit hours in the Leadership, EdD program. Graduates with an emphasis in education administration seek positions as a k-12 district superintendent, associate or assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction, human resource, or chief financial officer. Students gain the necessary skills and knowledge to complete the Missouri superintendent certification exam. The education administration emphasis, offered at the Lindenwood St. Charles / St. Louis campus includes 15 credit hours in addition to the core coursework focused on school district administration, human resource, and instructional leadership. All course outcomes align with the Leadership EdD conceptual framework domains: human centricity, organizational change, equity, ethics, and social justice and technology.
